I wanted to learn more about Social Media and its APIs. Next to that I also wanted to make an AIR application. Combine those 2 things and you get the Crossroad application. With this application you can connect your Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and Linkedin account, then get your messages and even send messages to all your connected accounts at once. This application is new used by the ROC van Twente to let students and teachers see there schedule (incl. changes) at all times. The application works on desktop, Iphone (its native) and Android. The app creates an internal database where it saves all the users settings and schedules and so you can also see you schedule when you have no internet. The application has auto update functionality, authorizes with the server and is skinnable. MBO Uitblinkers is a contest between all MBO schools of Holland. In the first round, schools can bring their uitblinker which they think is their best. From these uitblinkers, only 3 get selected by a jury per region. These 3 have to create a campaign for themselves to get as much votes as possible. Catapult gives social media workshops, and so they wanted to have a wheel of fortune that you could swing and would select a random social media prezi. Its an extended desktop application which will run on mac or windows (.dmg or .exe).
